Dans son adaptation cin\u00e9matographique, il ne lui suffit plus de conqu\u00e9rir Broadway, le film a pour but de r\u00e9affirmer la place des com\u00e9dies musicales dans le c\u0153ur du public am\u00e9ricain, et bien au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Mais d\u2019o\u00f9 viennent cet engouement et cette ferveur pour <i>Wicked<\/i> qui sembleraient presque magique ? Ce n&rsquo;est pas une question de nostalgie, m\u00eame si les fans y trouvent une \u0153uvre de longue date qu\u2019ils ch\u00e9rissent. Ce n\u2019est pas non plus seulement d\u00fb \u00e0 la musique envo\u00fbtante ou aux d\u00e9cors somptueux. Non, c\u2019est plus subtil, plus visc\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><i>Wicked<\/i> capte un besoin universel de croire aux r\u00e9cits qui nous emportent loin, et surtout qui nous parlent de nous-m\u00eame. C\u2019est le clich\u00e9 de l\u2019outsider, qui refuse de se laisser enfermer dans des cases qu\u2019on lui impose. C\u2019est l\u2019histoire d\u2019une amiti\u00e9 qui transcende toute \u00e9preuve, m\u00eame les diff\u00e9rences les plus importantes. Mais surtout, c\u2019est l\u2019histoire d\u2019une r\u00e9volte douce, celle qui nous pousse \u00e0 d\u00e9fier la gravit\u00e9 des attentes sociales et des jugements, non \u00e0 attendre dans une casserole qui bout petit \u00e0 petit telle des grenouilles inconscientes de leur sort.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Mais un tel engouement pour ce film, et pour les com\u00e9dies musicales en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, met aussi le doigt sur un point distinct de notre \u00e9poque. Les com\u00e9dies musicales ne sont plus seulement un divertissement, elles sont un refuge. Dans un monde satur\u00e9 d\u2019images et de nouveaux anxiog\u00e8nes, elles nous offrent un \u00e9chappatoire. Les m\u00e9lodies que l\u2019on entend m\u00eame en dehors de la salle de cin\u00e9ma, les couleurs, le clich\u00e9 des r\u00e9cits, tout nous pousse dans cette joie d\u2019\u00eatre port\u00e9 ailleurs m\u00eame pour quelques heures seulement. Ce n\u2019est par ailleurs pas un hasard si les \u00c9tats-Unis, pays de la d\u00e9mesure et des grands r\u00e9cits, sont si attach\u00e9s \u00e0 ce genre. Depuis le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es dor\u00e9es de Broadway jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019explosion moderne de Hamilton, ce genre de cin\u00e9matographie est un miroir de l&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique : il parle de lutte et d\u2019espoir, de diversit\u00e9 et d\u2019universalit\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois. Il c\u00e9l\u00e8bre en m\u00eame temps l\u2019individu et sa communaut\u00e9. Avec <i>Wicked<\/i>, cette passion pour les <i>\u00ab musicals \u00bb<\/i> atteint une nouvelle apog\u00e9e. Le film ne fait que prolonger ce lien d\u2019intimit\u00e9 entre le public en lui rendant \u00e0 son imagination une \u0153uvre qui depuis plus de vingt ans, n\u2019a cess\u00e9 de faire vibrer des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations. Ce n\u2019est pas un sujet commercial ni m\u00eame critique, mais un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne d\u2019attachement \u00e9motionnel. et ce dit attachement, cher lecteur, ne dispara\u00eetra pas de sit\u00f4t.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Alors pourquoi un tel engouement ? Peut-\u00eatre parce que <i>Wicked<\/i> incarne cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9 fondamentale : chacun m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre vu pour ce qu\u2019il est, et non pour ce que les autres veulent qu\u2019il soit.
